
SLO BLUES 4 v. SMV Packers 6
The San Luis Obispo Blues (23-10 overall, 14-9 CCL) lost to a tough Santa Barbara Foresters (25-8, 17-8) team by the score of 6-4. The two teams played each other tough the whole night in front of the announced crowd of 767 people, including a bench-clearing scuffle in the 3rd inning.
Blues pitcher Harmen Sidhu continued his stellar summer season by allowing only 1 earned run in 5 innings of work, striking out 8 and getting out of a bases loaded jam unscathed in the 5th inning. He replaced starting pitcher Dylan Mendoza, who gave up only 1 earned run in 4 innings.
Offensively, Zac Elgie went 2-4 with a RBI and Chad Christensen also knocked in a run. The Blues were lead by Sal Belfonte, who went 3-4 with a run scored and a RBI.
The Blues next game is a CCL contest on the road tomorrow night against the Conejo Oaks. The game is at 5 pm at Sparky Anderson Field (Cal Lutheran University), and you can listen to our live broadcast of the game.
