The San Luis Obispo Blues (2-0) pitchers combined to hold the Cal Poly Club Team (0-1) hitless over 9 innings to complete the Team No-Hitter in front of the 214 fans in attendance.
Casey Bloomquist (1-0) earned the victory, pitching 3 innings and striking out 2. Starting pitcher Sean Mullen pitched 4 innings, striking out 7 batters. Jason Freeman pitched the final 2 innings to complete the Team No-Hitter.
Offensively, the Blues were led by CF Brannon Champagne who went 1 for 4, with a double, a run scored, and 2 RBI's. RF Brody Russell went 1 for 1, with 2 walks, and a run scored. C Thomas Bernal had an RBI sacrifice fly as well.
The Blues next play Wednesday Night, June 8th, 2011, when they open up California Collegiate League (CCL) play with a 7pm contest in Orange County against the OC Pioneers.
