San Luis Obispo, Ca. - The Blues pitching staff couldn't find an answer to the OC Riptide's offense, giving up 10 runs on a season-high 16 hits, eight of them for extra bases.
Spencer Gallimore was tagged with the loss, now holding a 1-1 record. Gallimore, after his record-breaking performance last week against the San Francisco Seagulls, went five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits, walking two and striking out two.
Gavin Constantine entered the game in the ninth for his first appearance on the mound in the 2026 season. Constantine pitched one complete inning, giving up no runs on two hits while walking one.
The Blues offense couldn't find an answer to compensate for the pitching on the night. Even with a late-game rally that saw three runs come across in the seventh, it wasn't enough to undo the damage.
CJ Moran went 3-4 on the night, hitting a double in the second and a triple in the seventh.
The Blues will face the Santa Barbara Foresters in their first matchup of the season on Sunday, June 21. First pitch is slated for 2:00 p.m., and it will be a Yellow Out game in support of the matchup.
