Blues Set to Take on Sonoma Stompers in the North Division Wild Card
The Sonoma Stompers will be making the trip down to SLO to face the Blues in a single-elimination Wild Card round on Tuesday, July 28 at 6pm
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Postseason baseball returns to Sinsheimer Stadium as the San Luis Obispo Blues host the Sonoma Stompers in a single elimination California Collegiate League North Division Wild Card game on Tuesday, July 28, with first pitch scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
After an exciting regular season, the Blues have earned home field advantage for the opening round of the CCL playoffs. The winner of Tuesday night's matchup will advance to the North Division Championship and travel to Walnut Creek on Wednesday, July 29, to face the Crawdads for a chance to compete for the league title.
The winner of the North Division Championship will then host the California Collegiate League State Championship Series at their home ballpark from Friday, July 31 through Sunday, August 2. The championship will be decided in a best two out of three series.
Fans are encouraged to secure their seats early and help create a postseason atmosphere at Sinsheimer Stadium. Tickets for Tuesday's Wild Card game are available online, and gates will open at 5:00 p.m., one hour prior to first pitch.
The Blues are looking to continue their championship pursuit in front of their home crowd and invite the Central Coast community to pack the ballpark for what promises to be an exciting night of playoff baseball.
